There seems to be light at the end of the tunnel with regards to Aaron Ramsey’s injury. The in-form Welshman has been out of action since he hurt his thigh in the boxing day London derby clash against West Ham at Upton Park. Initially, he was penciled down for a January return but suffered a setback with Wenger ruling him out for an extended 6 weeks though there were private fears that he could be out for longer.
But there seems to be light at the end of the tunnel as fresh scans have given the Welshman the all clear and could be returning to action next month. To this end, Ramsey is now targeting the key North London derby between the Gunners and the tiny neighbours according to reports.
I sincerely hope the reports are true. Having him back for such an important match that could make or mar our title aspirations is very import. His return will give his teammates a huge boost going into such a key clash. Saying Arsenal have missed him is an understatement. Our midfield has lacked the necessary drive while the attack has also missed his bite and of course, the team has missed his goals. Despite been out for almost 2 months now, he is still Arsenal’s midfielder with the highest number of goals.
In his absence, Wenger has turned to Wilshere, Arteta and Chamberlain but none has really filled the void adequately. Returning next month could see him give the Gunners the needed push for glory both in the Premier League and FA Cup this season.
