Cesc Fabregas’ recent statement on how he is being treated at Barcelona have fueled speculations he wants a move away from the Camp Nou.
Arsenal and Manchester United are therefore said to be on red alert as both are set for a fierce battle to snatch up the Spanish midfielder.
David Moyes after getting to know of Cesc’s present condition at the club has seen it as an opportunity to get Manchester United’s long term target. Below were Fabregas’ comments after scoring twice in Barca’s 4-1 triumph over Real Betis.
“Today was time to say that I am here. I know the boss has a starting team in his head, and I am not in it
“I played a good game against Celta, and then I was left out for most of the two games [against Espanyol and AC Milan], and that really messes you up. Today I wanted to vindicate myself so that does not happen again.”
If Fabregas’ is to fulfil his vow not to leave Barcelona for any other club aside Arsenal then United have no chances of signing him no matter how much they offer. As the tabloids suggest, he is waiting for Arsenal to officially make their interest in him known.
