The Gunners head into the game on the back of a 20-game unbeaten streak, but they have plenty of injuries to contend with.

In Wednesday’s 2-2 draw with Manchester United, both Aaron Ramsey and Rob Holding had to be substituted with problems.

Holding’s is believed to be the bigger issue, with Unai Emery describing it as a ‘big injury’ after the game – and there are fears he has damaged knee ligaments.

Ramsey twisted his ankle but he is likely to return sooner, if not for Saturday’s game.

Laurent Koscielny has been back playing for the Under-23s and though he won’t make this game, he is likely to play against Qarabag in the Europa League next week.

Meanwhile, Konstantino Mavropanos is close to returning from a groin problem, but Danny Welbeck is expected to be out for several more months with a broken ankle.

Granit Xhaka should come back into the line-up after serving a suspension, with Matteo Guendouzi likely to drop out, and Alexandre Lacazette should return to the lead the line.

In Holding’s absence, and with Koscielny and Mavropanos not yet ready, Emery is likely to revert to a back four – unless he decides to play Stephan Lichsteiner as a centre-back.

Arsenal’s likely line-up (4-2-3-1): Leno; Bellerin, Mustafi, Papastathopoulos, Kolasinac; Torreira, Xhaka; Iwobi, Mkhitaryan, Aubameyang; Lacazette
