There are various reports linking Arsenal with the transfer of some star players for a move in January but knowing who Arsene Wenger is, we may not be heavily involved in the window.
According to latest report, Dimitri Payet of West Ham has hinted that he’s open to a move to Arsenal as he has missed playing Champions League football.
The France international was one of the stand-out performers in the Premier League last season, and has ambitions of playing at a higher level after his club’s struggles this term.
His has been a subject of transfer interest from Manchester United and Arsenal but given his nationality, he may favour a move to the Emirates.
United are playing in the Europa League this season, whereas Arsenal have a glamour tie against Bayern Munich to look forward to later this season after topping their Champions League group.
‘The situation of my club affects me, but I’m ambitious. I miss the Champions League,’ he told RMC.
‘I don’t close the door to anything. I’m in a fight with my club and I’ll give everything for it to get out of this difficult situation, but I close the door to nothing. I have some good years ahead of me, and I want to take advantage of them by playing for important things.
‘If I leave West Ham, it will be done within the rules, and the club will have its slice of the cake.
‘My coach understands that the situation right now doesn’t suit me. But I don’t stop there, I keep working. It’s part of the job to be in situations where it’s more difficult, you have to rise above it and do what you need to do to get your head up. I’ll ask myself questions at the right moment.’
