Barcelona defender Yerry Mina is said to be waiting for Arsenal to make an approach over a summer deal.
According to exclusive claims from Italian news outlet Tuttmercatoweb, the Colombia international has been approached by Southampton in recent times but would prefer a switch to North London, should the opportunity arise.
The Saints have, as per the report, submitted an opening offer worth €15 million up front for Mina, with a further total of €5 million proposed in additional bonuses.
Since the World Cup, though, a whole host of clubs have been linked with Mina. Lyon and Everton are reportedly at the front of the queue for the player, whilst Manchester United, West Ham and Leicester have also been linked.
New reports today also indicate that Lyon have submitted an offer worth around €30m for the defender, a significant increase on the alleged offer from Southampton.
Arsenal have a number of defensive options at their disposal following the arrival of Sokratis from Borussia Dortmund this summer. However, if Tuttomercatoweb are to be believed, they could have a strong chance of signing Mina should they express an interest.
