There are not many players in the world of football at the moment that divide opinion as much as Arsenal and England star Theo Walcott does. Unfortunately for Arsenal fans, they may have to ensure seeing the former Southampton star playing for Arsenal for at least one more season.
This is as reports by Telegraph confirmed the England international will not be leaving the club this summer. Liverpool have been linked with the signing of the player as well as West Ham, Leicester City and his former club Southampton but according to telegraph, the player will rmeain at Arsenal next season after he decided he would rather fight for his place in manager Arsene Wenger’s team.
Towards the end of last season, young Nigeria midfielder Alex Iwobi ousted Walcott from the first team and Arsenal have been linked with the signing of various right sided wingers in the transfer window so far. Draxler, Mario Gotze and Atletico Madrid’s Yannick Carrassco have all been linked.
But with Walcott choosing to stay now, Wenger may pull the plug on signing a new right wing in order to accommodate Theo Walcott. Wenger could however bring in a wing forward and keep Walcott as a striker.
