The January transfer window is not far off anymore and we cannot rule out the possibility of one or two surprise signings, but this is highly unlikely.
Arsenal have been linked with a January move for Rennes star Paul-Georges Ntep, who could be on the exit doors of his Ligue 1 club.
We were linked with a move for the player in the summer of 2014, several reports even claimed that he was very close to sealing an Emirates move but he ended up joining Rennes in a deal worth £4.25m.
His club are keen on offering him an improved contract but Ntep has left every negotiation with his agent, with no preference for what happens.
Today, nothing is signed,” Ntep said about a possible new contract at his current club.
“I have not been heeded because I leave that to my agent and I do not mind.
“But it does not make me worry. If I have to continue [at Rennes], I will extend my contract.
“If I have to leave in January, I will leave in January.”
Ntep has one assist in six Ligue 1 games this season.
Liverpool and Southampton are also said to be interested in the right-footer who can play on the right but prefers it on the left.
