England international Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is ready to commit his long-term future to Arsenal by signing a new deal with the club, reports say.
The 23-year-old has been at the Emirates since 2011 after he left his boyhood club Southampton to join the Gunners.
His future at Arsenal had been in doubt this year, with Premier League rivals Liverpool understood to be interested in a summer swoop to bring him to Anfield.
But the Daily Mirror say Arsenal believe Oxlade-Chamberlain will reject Liverpool’s advances and put pen to paper on a new bumper deal.
Talks are said to be ongoing over a new contract worth over £100,000-a-week, with Arsene Wenger hoping to finalise the deal before the end of the month.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has shown his versatility this season, impressing in multiple positions to earn a recall to Gareth Southgate’s England squad.
