“I Want To Sign For Arsenal, Not Liverpool” £80,000-A-Week Confirms

Arsenal have been linked with various players in the last few weeks, from th realistic to the unrealistic and the outright ridiculous. One of them is Moussa Sissoko. The French has never been one to hide his desire to play for Arsenal at the Emirates, only recently stating that he “loves the idea” of moving to Arsenal this summer.

Sissoko who is currently with the French side has been key to the French qualifying for the finals and will be looking at plying his trade in the English top flight next season following Newcastle’s relegation from the Premier League. Sissoko has always made public his desire to play at the Emirates while contracted in St James Park.

If Wenger will pick on the subtle hint and consider signing Sissoko is yet to be klnown. Wenger is not short of options in the midfield considering in the close season, Arsenal released 3 veteran players; Mikel Arteta, Mathieu Flamini and Tomas Rosicky. Also, Wenger has sent out promising and highly talented midfielders like Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Daniel Crowley, and Jon Toral on loan again. With the addition of Granit Xhaka and the promotion of Jeff Reine-Adelaide into the first team, signing a midfielder is not high on the Premier League runners-up’s agenda.

Pundits and fan will argue that Sissoko isn’t as hard working as Ramsey, lacks the quality of control that Elneny and Xhaka have, doesn’t have the vision for a pass like Ozil or Xhaka, can’t protect the back four like Coquelin or Xhaka and can’t score like Ramsey. It is safe to say he will not be adding any additional value to an overstocked Arsenal midfield.

Wenger will be looking at bolstering his attack with the likes of Alvaro Morata, Julian Draxler or Alexandre Lacazette.
