RUSSIA international Aleksandr Golovin is flattered to be linked with a move to Arsenal.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger had the 21-year-old attacking midfielder watched at the Confederations Cup in June.
Reports in Russia earlier this summer suggested Arsenal were in talks to sign him from CSKA Moscow.
“In my opinion, every football player, regardless of age, wants to play in Europe. I’m not an exception.”
Golovin has established himself as one of Russia’s most promising talents, winning 15 caps for his country.
He is a regular for CSKA, who have one foot in the Champions League group stage after a 1-0 win against Young Boys on Tuesday.
But when asked whether he feels ready to join a club of Arsenal’s stature, he told Sport-Express: ”I can not answer your question. I did not train with this team. I do not know how it is or what.
“Yes, we played in the Champions League with rivals of this level, but I do not know the situation from the inside.
“Of course, I would like to try my strength there.
“Still, I do not have a clear idea of whether I’m ready for Arsenal.”
Golovin was also linked with a move to Premier League champions Chelsea in May.
