Arsenal target Lukasz Piszczek is not interested in talks of a move away from Dortmund to Arsenal in the January transfer window. He is instead more interested in getting fit again after battling with injury.
The Poland national team player is currently recovering from hip surgery. He has been constantly linked to Arsenal in the last 2 transfer window with reports that Arsenal will be attempting to buy the defender in January but he claims is more concerned about getting back to fitness than seeking a move to Arsenal.
Lukasz Piszczek told German Bild ” Even though I have a little pain now and then, it is definitely much better than before the operation. I am satisfied.
Asked of about the rumours that are constantly linking him with moves to Arsenal, the defender said ” My goal is to come back for the second half of the season.
“On the other hand, I will do nothing unnecessary to put myself under pressure after such a major operation.”
The player has according to various reports been earmarked by Wenger as the replacement for Bacary Sagna who is yet to renew his current Arsenal contract.
