Given the depth of squad at Arsenal, the presence of injured players has not been really felt bar the absence of Santi Cazorla – however, Wenger has revealed that Danny Welbeck will return to training this month ahead of his return from a cartilage damage.
He picked up the injury back in May when Arsenal drew 2-2 with Manchester City and has since been on the recovery pane.
The England international had only returned to action in February after a 10-month layoff before finding himself on the side-lines again for another extended period.
Previous report suggested Welbeck would be out until the first quarter of next year but his return to training for this month is timely and ahead of schedule.
And it would be likely that he will be back in action in January.
Wenger confirmed he would return in the final month of 2016 and added: ‘He is not far.’
