Arsene Wenger philosophy of football is hinged on a fluid type of entertaining football that sees the midfielders retain possession while offering threats in attack.
One man that makes Arsenal style work is Spain international Santi Cazorla and he has been sorely missed since his absence due to injury, this is according to Arsenal legend Thierry Henry.
Cazorla’s last appearance for Arsenal was Arsenal’s 6-0 Champions League win over Ludogorets last month.
The Spaniard is out with an Achilles injury and his return date is unknown.
And pundit Henry has hailed Cazorla, claiming Arsenal miss their midfield maestro.
When asked on Sky Sports whether Arsenal miss Santi Cazorla, Henry replied: “A lot.
“There’s always that debate about whether the Coquelin-Santi partnership is good enough to win the league.
“But what it does is when Santi is not playing, Mesut starts to come too deep to get the ball and you know [there’s] not that first guy that can pass the ball in between the lines so it is different when Santi is not around.”
