Higuain Destined For Arsenal As Juve Give Up Chase

Gonzalo-Higuain~6

Exciting news breaking from italian based newspaper ‘La Gazzetta della Sport’ with reports suggesting that Juventus are ready to give up on their chase of Real Madrid’s star striker Gonzalo Higuain and target the Argentine’s international teammate in Manchester City’s Carlos Tevez.

With the Bianconeri willing to part ways with €13 million and deliver a weekly payment of just over €100 thousand in order to obtain the services of the somewhat controversial City number 32. A move welcomed by most City, Juventus and of course Arsenal fans as a Tevez deal to the Serie A champions paves the way for Gonzalo Higuain to don the famous Cannon.

According to spanish tabloid Marca, they claim Arsenal have bid up to €30 million for the 12th most prolific goal scorer in Real Madrid’s La Liga history.

There will be a delay however before the deal can be officially concluded as Madrid still have to appoint a manager to oversee the transfer and give their final blessings on the departure of the current number 20. Real Madrid big-wigs see this as an advantage as they have the time to create a bidding war, although it appears as though Arsenal has outbid them all. (A welcomed change!)

An acqusition The Gunners could desperately use to reclaim the title, Higuain looks keen to commence his career with Arsenal as Arsene Wenger is able to offer the prolific striker a permanent starting berth. Whether that kicks Giroud back to the bench or Arsenal change their formation to allow Higuain and Giroud to both commence matches as the frontline is still yet to be determined.

Regardless of how The Arsenal line up, Higuain will no doubt be the club’s number one striker and at the price Arsene Wenger is supposedly ready to fork out for future Arsenal star, the expectations of the manager himself as well as the fans will be like that of no other Arsenal player. The man himself will look to provide a tally of 20 plus goals to live up to his giant price tag. A tally the talented French-born-Argentine has the quality to reach and exceed.

With Higuain’s destiny all but with Arsenal and rumoured other acqusitions in the sights of the North London outfit, the apparent hoarding of funds is something of the past. With exciting changes to the financial aspects of the club, Arsenal are surely set for the most expensive, yet exhilarating summer of the club’s history.
