Arsenal were unlucky to have lost against Manchester United on Sunday after putting up a string of impressive performances against some of their tough opponents. This defeat made a lot of their fans unhappy. We all know supporters do not like seeing their sides drop points but all the same, I’ll say it was a fair result considering the scoreline and the ground in which the tie took place.
The Gunners played a number of games without recording a loss not until they clashed with Chelsea in the Capital One Cup where they were knocked out. They also lost to Borussia Dortmund at the Emirates. But after these misfortunes, they showed they were still capable by defeating Liverpool and Dortmund
The North-Londoners might be considering some additions to their squad in January to enable them remain as serious title contenders. In view of this, Ukrainian winger Yevhen Konoplyanka who is on the radar of many European clubs is one of their many transfer targets.
Below was what the Daily Mail reported concerning this:
“Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham are all keen on the exciting wide man Konoplyanka.
“And Europe’s top clubs will turn out in force to run the rule over the player considered the most talented Ukrainian of his generation.“
The winger’s club Dnipro Dnipropetrovs rejected a £10 million bid froman undisclosed club in the last transfer window but would be looking to cash in on him in January. His agent praised Konoplyanka and revealed his client will be open to a move.
He said, “He can do things on a football pitch that very few players can come close to, so we are expecting an interesting January.”
The Ukranian has scored 25 in 123 games for club and 8 in 33 games for country.. Do you think he’ll be a perfect buy for Arsenal?
