Arsenal midfielder Jack wilshere has been lavishing praise on new signing Granit Xhaka after training along the Swiss.
Xhaka joined Arsenal from Borrussia Monchenglabach before the start of the European Championship in a deal worth 32million Pounds.
Wilshere who would be faced with competition for position with Xhaka stated that:
“I’ve played against him a few times at youth level for England and also for the first team with England, so I know him quite well,”
Xhaka’s show off in the European Championship revealed that his quality was in doubt and he is expected to walk straight into Arsenal’s first team. Wilshere further stated that:
“I’ve always thought he was a good player, he’s very strong and has got a good left foot.
“He’s a leader; he can hold the midfield together and can get things going from back to front.
Arsenal arguably have the most stable and star studded midfield in the Premier League. Wenger built Arsenal’s playing philosophy on ball retention which is the major work of the midfield.
