Henrikh Mkhitaryan will become a Gunner in a couple of days according to various reports from both Armenia and Germany. Although Dortmund have continuously stated they do not want to sell the player, the fact that the Armenia international has so far refused to sign a new contract has force Dortmund’s hands according to reports.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan is said to be ready to take up new challenges and the offer of a reported £95,000 a week from Arsenal have tempted him coupled with the irresistible lure of playing in the Premier league.
Although Juventus and Chelsea have also been linked with his signing, it is reported that Wenger has personally spoken to the versatile player and managed to convince him to sign for us rather than the noisy West Londoners or Juventus.
Should the report be true and Henrikh Mkhitaryan sign for Arsenal, many Arsenal fans will be happy but it will also mean Theo Walcott could be leaving the club which in itself is not a bad news. Theo Walcott reportedly earns £140,000 a week but delivers next to nothing and I doubt there will be up to 10% of the Arsenal fan base who will not be happy if he is sold or at least reduced to a bit part player.
