With Theo Walcott reportedly set to leave Arsenal, Arsenal certainly could do with the signing of a right sided winger. And according to the Sun, La Liga champions FC Barcelona are set to accept a cut-price £23 million transfer fee for former Athletico Madrid star Arda Turan.
The Barcelona outcast, Turan, is believed to be up for sale and Barcelona are prepared to take a loss on the player to free up the wage bill following the signing of Denis Suarez from Villarreal, according to reports.
The Arsenal target linked up with la Liga champions FC Barcelona on a £29 million move last summer from La Liga rivals Atletico Madrid and its widely believed that the player has another four-years left on his contract.
The winger made 25 appearances for the Catalan club since the turn of the year after missing out in the first half of the season due to the FIFA transfer ban placed on the club.
Turan was utilized throughout the second half of the season by Barcelona boss Luis Enrique, but he was not given a starting role in top matches over the 810 minutes of La Liga matches he played over the league campaign.
The Gunners will face stiff competition from Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund as well as Turkish clubs Fenerbahce and Galatasaray for the winger.
