Arsenal’s and England international Theo Walcott could be on his way out at the Emirates with four Premier League interested in the Englishman.
Walcott has been with Arsenal for 11 years since joining as a 16-year-old from Southampton but it looks like the former Southampton star’s time in North London is coming to an end, according to the Daily Mirror. With it being a World Cup year, the forward wants regular game time which he is not guaranteed at Arsenal.
His former side also said to be interested in him as they are currently struggling to score goals. Everton, West Ham United and Watford are the other sides to have enquired about his services. Everton didn’t buy a striker following Romelu Lukaku’s summer departure to Manchester United and although Walcott would be the right replacement they need, he should be able to provide them with at least 10 goals a season.
Has had registered four Premier League appearances for Arsenal this season all of which have come from the bench. The majority of Walcott’s game time comes from playing in Europa League and Caraba Cup matches for what is Arsene Wenger’s B team.
It remains unclear whether Walcott would go on loan or leave completely but if the player wants regular game time, he will have to move elsewhere to get it. Although Walcott has not fulfilled his potential at Arsenal, a move away could be just what he needs at this stage in his career.
