The need for a striker in Arsenal cannot be overly emphasized – this has seen Wenger put under pressure by fans and media as to the signing of a top-notch striker.
Arsenal have reportedly entered the race to sign France born striker Wissam Ben Yedder but they are not left in the chase of the 25-year-old following the stiff interest of Spanish side Sevilla.
A cut price for the striker has been tagged by his French club Toulouse – The Ligue 1 club want €10m + bonuses, which is within the reach of Arsenal considering the weight of their transfer war-chest.
However, Sevilla are heavily linked to the player and might usurp Arsenal to the silky forward’s signature if they are not very pro-active.
Welbeck sustained an injury at the close of last season and this has left Arsenal condemned to sign a back up for Giroud or a player that will compete with Giroud. Certainly, Yedder will not jus compliment Giroud but provide competition.
Yedder scored 23goals in 40 appearances for clubs last season.
