Finally A Goal Poacher? Wenger Unveils 6ft4 Striker Ahead Of Leicester City Game

If other top European clubs  like Barcelona, Juventus, Liverpool and Real Madrid that are more successful than Arsenal are strengthening their squad, you just wonder if Wenger is playing with our minds with his claims that there is shortage of players in the market.

The hope of seeing a new striker in the colours of Arsenal has been dashed. According to latest reports Arsene Wenger has dismissed the possibility of adding a striker to our team, with the claims that he has lots of strikers in his radar.

Speaking ahead of the game with Leicester City, the French tactician highlighted the number of striker at his disposal.

Wenger Said, “We have Giroud, Alexis, Walcott, Akpom and Sanogo who is still here but is injured at the moment – the players we buy have to be better.

“I believe a club like ours is focused on giving chances to the players we develop in our own club. We have a few strikers who have a chance, if we find the right players we buy.
“But if you ask people ‘give me names’, you see that it is not that easy – look at a club like Real Madrid, who have they bought? Up front, it is very difficult.”
I’m worried over Wenger’s claims. He talks about adding quality that can thick all our boxes, but all but Alexis Sanchez that he mentioned are average players when you check their stats.
Talking about mentioning names, we know that with the right price, you will get any player you desire. We saw Higuain moved, we saw Pogba moved, we saw Mhkitaryan moved, we even saw Zlatan Ibrahimovic moved for free. If there was genuine interest, a player like Lacazette or Vardy or Aubameyang would have moved to Arsenal.
Who knows, Wenger may just be coy on the media but he is certainly in the transfer market.
