Having brought in Granit Xhaka and Takuma Asano, Arsenal seem to still be very active in the transfer market and they are not only working on incomings but as well as outgoings. According to reports on this weekend, Newcastle United is set to sign Arsenal youngster Isaac Hayden on a five-year deal.
The young defender has been at the Emirate club for about of a decade, having signed for the London club as a teenager in the summer of 2008.
Hayden is a versatile defender, who can also play in the defensive midfield position, and is a former Arsenal captain, having captained Arsenal at many youth levels.
Despite his good performances playing for the youth team, Hayden had never featured for the North London side in the English Premier League.
He made his debut a Capital One Cup game against West Bromwich Albion in 2013; he later featured in one other Arsenal first-team gam, that was another League Cup tie, a 2-1 home defeat to Southampton in 2014.
His other first-team experience has come while on loan at Hull City, where he played 24 games for the Tigers last term, including 18matches in the English Championship as Hull city got promoted back to the Premier League.
The 21-year-old centre-back will be hoping to help his new club Newcastle, under the tutelage of former Chelsea boss Raphael Benitez, win promotion back to the English Premier league.
