The result of Wenger’s slothfulness in previous transfer market is that get linked to almost all the available players in Europe.
The January transfer window is about three months away but there are wide reports indicating that Arsenal are keeping tabs Mario Lemina, a player who we attempted to sign in the summer.
The latest reports stem from Italy with Calciomercato speculating about the player’s future with their information coming from Tuttosport, and they believe that Arsenal could be back to ‘tempt’ Juventus when the January window opens.
This report seem very odd given the fact that Lemina is a defensive midfielder and he cannot dislodge Elneny, or Xhaka or even Coquelin from Arsenal’s team.
Nonetheless, the player can also play in the central defensive role of as a right back, giving him edge over some orthodox defensive midfielders.
The player is under contract until 2020 and €20m has been a consistent figure throughout the course of these rumours.
At the end of August, Lemina said of the reported Arsenal offer, “Arsenal? I do not know, [you have to] ask Juventus.
“There were a lot of offers but this is not what interests me the most. What interested me the most was what Juventus would say, the project that they would offer me.
“Today, they really wanted me to be a major player on the team and I grew up with them.”
