Arsenal have not had a large squad as now for a long while – the competition for places seem to be improving the players as only the best gets to play.
Shockingly, France International Oliver Giroud has been reduced to a fringe at Arsenal. He has found himself behind Alexis Sanchez in attack and Koscielny has admitted that it will be difficult for Giroud to get back into the team.
Giroud, 30, is yet to start a league game for the Gunners this term and has been benched in favour of Sanchez.
Wenger moved Sanchez from the left-wing position to the central position and the Chilean has been doing greatly in his new role. Sanchez has scored five goals in nine appearances.
Arsenal’s play has improved after putting Sanchez centrally and Koscielny believes Giroud will struggle to get back in Arsene Wenger’s side.
‘It’s difficult for Olivier Giroud at the moment, because Alexis Sanchez is currently ‘walking on water’ at Arsenal,’ Koscielny told InfoSport.
