Arsene Wenger still has his sight on a recruiting a creative midfielder for Arsenal in the stead of Santi Cazorla and he is not looking too far.
According to report,
ARSENAL will offer Jack Wilshere a new contract but he will want assurances over his playing time.
That is according to former Arsenal midfielder and pundit Adrian Clarke, who works as a commentator and analyst for the north London side.
Wilshere is currently on loan from Arsenal at Bournemouth and is regular starter for the Cherries.
His current Gunners deal runs out at the end of next season.
But Clarke doesn’t think he’ll sign unless Arsene Wenger promises him a starting place.
“If he was at Arsenal he would have a very good chance of starting,” he told talkSPORT.
“I think Arsenal will offer him a new contract, I hope they do.
“He will want some assurances form Arsene Wenger that he will be a starter.
“He can’t be a sub, he’s at an age where he has to play.”
Wilshere has stayed fit while at Bournemouth after years of injury frustration at Arsenal.
Something Clarke has found hard to believe.
He added: “It is unbelievable. I don’t know, something is suiting him.”
