There is currently no certainty in the transfer market anymore. Despite how loyal footballers claim to be to their clubs, a new factor that motivates some of them is money.
Arsenal transfer long-term target Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang reckons that he could leave Dortmund anytime soom – but the forward has ruled out Bayern Munich as a potential destination.
The in-form striker has been a subject of interest from Manchester United, Arsenal and even Real Madrid.
Aubemayang has been in scintillating form this campaign, scoring 20 goals in 22 games for Dortmund before netting in both of Gabon’s first two Africa Cup of Nation group games.
Having spent four successful years in Germany, Aubameyang insists he is enjoying his time at Dortmund but conceded he could leave at the end of the season.
‘No one can predict the future,’ he told Fussball Bild. ‘The only thing for sure is that I’m currently with Dortmund and I love it there.
‘But I cannot say that I’ll stay for another two, five or 10 years. It is possible that in June a club comes to an agreement with Dortmund.
At the moment I really don’t think about it. I focus only on the work with my team-mates with Dortmund and Gabon.’
When asked whether a move to rivals Bayern Munich could be on the cards, the forward added: ‘Never would I switch to Bayern.’
The striker is worth €70m.
