Arsene Wenger had been accused of being frugal in the transfer market but he went all our last summer and reinforced every aspect of our team.
The need for a striker was very apparent and Wenger made offers for Lyon star Alexsandre Lacazette – according to latest reports, Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has been talking about Arsenal’s interest in Lacazette again.
Aulas claims that two Premier League clubs had bids rebuffed for Lacazette during the summer window, and Napoli was also in the chase of Arsenal target, Corentin Tolisso. Aulas is obviously fingering.
Annoying as it may, Sport Witness have pointed out, in the summer, Aulas claims that Lyon reject a €50m bid for West Ham. So the number has now increased.
This summer, we rejected €55m for Lacazette from two Premier League clubs and €37m from Napoli for Tolisso,”he told Tuttosport.
Although Aulas doesn’t name West Ham and Arsenal, he has brought both clubs up in the past in relation to the transfer and we were the only two reportedly interested.
One question that quickly comes to mind now is, do you actually need him? NO
Sanchez is firing on all cylinders in out attack, we also have Perez and Giroud on the fringes and I don’t see Wenger signing any player in that position.
