Arsenal are set to announce two more new signings in the coming days, as they close in on completing the signing of Adli Yacine and Sokratis Papstathopoulos, according to the Daily Cannon.
The Gunners recently confirmed the signing of Stephan Lichtsteiner from Juventus on a free transfer, and they now seem to be very close to signing Sokratis from Dortmund and Adli from Paris Saint Germain on a free transfer, according to some reports.
Greek defender Sokratis has already undergone a medical after agreeing a three-year deal with the Gunners according to his father, and a reported fee of £15 million has been agreed with Borussia Dortmund for the 29-year-old.
Adli on the other hand will be joining on a free transfer from Unai Emery’s former club, the highly rated 17-year-old who made his first team debut for PSG last season rejected a professional contract with the club and has signed a three-year deal with Arsenal with an option of an additional two-year extension. Arsenal will pay a compensation fee of £223,000 to PSG.
If the reports are true, then Emery would be very proud of the fantastic business done so far, as he will have gotten Lichtsteiner, Sokratis and Adli for just £15 million out of his budget.
