Despite the trophy drought being experienced by Arsenal, the presence of Arsene Wenger at the Emirates is one reason several top players wants to play for Arsenal.
Arsenal youngster Hector Bellerin recently signed an improved contract with the club and the Spaniard has made bare his mind why he made the move.
The 21-year-old joined the Gunners from La Liga giants Barcelona as a youngster in 2011.
And his improvement and performances saw him attracted to Manchester City and former Club Barcelona.
Barcelona boss Luis Enrique is still on the look out for a top class replacement for Dani Alves.
Nonetheless, the right back snub his suitors and signed for Arsenal, coming his long-term future to the club.
“Just the confidence he has given me, especially after not the greatest debut at [Borussia] Dortmund. My first games weren’t the best!
“From then, I always knew I wanted to pay him off and that’s what I’m doing right now and obviously that is why I wanted to stay at the club.”
Bellerin has so far made 11 Premier League appearances this season.
However, he’ll miss out on this weekend’s visit to cross-city rivals West Ham through injury.
