The ex Arsenal star has given his support for Arsenal’s move to sign Adli Yacine from Paris Saint Germain, according to the Daily Express.
The 17-year-old wonderkid has been strongly linked with a move to Arsenal, with some reports claiming he has agreed a three-year contract with the Gunners.
It is believed that he is keen to link up with Emery, the man who gave him his debut last season while he was manager at PSG.
Speaking at the new away kit launch for the 2018/2019 season, Pires said; “He’s a talented player. I know him.
“He has very good quality, he’s very fast with the ball.
“Sometimes he can score. I know Emery likes this type of player.
“I don’t know what’s happening but if he joined Arsenal, I think he would be a good player for the new squad.”
Adli has featured for the French youth international teams, and could be the second or third summer signing for the Gunners depending on how fast a deal for Borussia Dortmund’s Sokratis Papastathopoulos can be completed.
The Gunners have already landed right back Stephan Lichtsteiner on a free from Juventus, and are close to completing both Sokratis and Adli deals.
