Arsene Wenger is said to be hoarding the cash meant to be spent on signing a centre-back for a striker. The fans are hopeful that the manager signs some players but it seems that he may not sign another defender after all.
Arsenal new boy Rob Holding has been relishing the privilege to play for a club like Arsenal. The England defensive stalwart claim he wants to play for Arsenal in the Champions League.
Holding signed for Arsenal this summer and made his debut about a fortnight ago, where Arsenal were thumped by Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium. However, having played along Laurent Koscielny, Holding impressed and was eulogised by Wenger.
The youngster has now set his set on the Champions League.
“It would would be a great honour and privilege to play in the Champions League,” he said. “Some of the teams you come up against, such as the Barcelonas and Real Madrids – they are some of the biggest in Europe.
“I’m looking forward to it. I will be over the moon to go over to their stadiums and play there.
“You have got to have those dreams. That’s your ambition, that’s why you get into football and what you aspire to do. You want to lift trophies and win things.”
