Academy product Dan Crowley has completed a permanent move away from the club to join Willem II…
The 19-year-old has decided to move on from North London to join the Dutch side, after spending the second half of last season with fellow Eredivisie club Go Ahead Eagles. Arsenal officially announced the move on Monday morning.
All the best for the future, Danhttps://t.co/MptbfAeJTM

Crowley originally joined the Gunners’ youth teams from Aston Villa in 2014. He had a good start to his academy career and as a result joined up with the first-team for pre-season in Singapore in 2015. He impressed the Arsenal fans with his passing and similarities in playing-style with Jack Wilshere.
Dan then went on multiple loans from 2015 to 2017, including spells with English clubs Barnsley and Oxford United, as well as the aforementioned Go Ahead Eagles. Last season, he made 27 appearances for latter two clubs, scoring five goals and making four assists.
But at this stage it seems that Crowley had made up his mind to leave. With Chris Willock also making a move to Benfica, Dan chose not to sign a new contract with Arsenal and as a result remained in England while fellow youngsters headed to Sydney so he could finalise his transfer.
Crowley’s move abroad is a bold one that we’re starting to see more from English talents struggling to break through in the Premier League. We wish him all the best with this next step in his career.
