Arsenal are yet on the lookout for stars that can thick all the boxes of the squad and reports have emerged that Arsenal had their scouts in Portugal yesterday.
Arsenal sent scouts to Benfica’s home cup tie against Vizela last night, according to Portuguese newspapers Record and O Jogo.
The Eagles didn’t have any difficulties beating the second division side, winning the game 4-0 and assuring their first place in Group D.
There is no telling the player who lured Arsenal officials there but the attackers of Benfica were impressive.
Brazilian striker Jonas started his first game since August. The player, who was out due to a severe ‘bacterium injury’, scored a brace and showed he can still be in good form.
And the striker Konstantinos Mitroglou, who has surprisingly already been linked to Arsenal, also scored one. The other goal belonged to the defender Lisandro Lopes.
