Last week, Arsenal legend Thierry Henry criticized the recent transfer market indolence of Arsenal and blamed it on club’s somewhat unattractive nature for world class players.
The recent snubbing of Arsenal by certain players has justified the fears of the legend.
Arsenal have been linked with a move for Columbian international James Rodriguez but we have now been handed a blow in the player’s pursuit, with reports claiming the winger is happy with life at the Santiago Bernabeu.
James only made 17 starts in the league in 2015-16 – his second season with Madrid – and he was only given 13 minutes of their opening league match of this campaign against Real Sociedad on Sunday.
Nonetheless, Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane claims the player is happy.
“He is well and happy,” Zidane said when asked about James after the 3-0 victory over Sociedad.
“He worked and helped us to gain the three points.”
Arsenal are not the only club in the chase of the player, Chelsea are also interested.
Arsenal have been in the market for an attacker but seem to be struggling to sign one.
