It is said that once a Gunner, is forever a Gunner.
As typical with Arsenal, we are known to invest and show much faith in youngsters than other clubs over the years and we have seen this norm and value sustained.
Although, not a Gunner at the moment, MK Dons have signed former Arsenal midfielder Chucks Aneke on a one-year deal and an option to extend the contract by a year.
Aneke joined Arsenal at seven (7) in 2001 and progressed in that cadre but failed to break into the first team of Arsenal. He was sent on loan to Stevenage in 2011 and has been on loan to several clubs until this recent contract by MK Dons.
The 23-year-old former Arsenal youngster left Belgian top-flight side Zulte Waregem this summer after scoring four goals in 41 appearances. However, he is currently recovering from “routine” knee surgery and is not yet fit to play.
He becomes MK Dons’ fifth signing so far this summer, following the likes of former Millwall defender Ed Upson and Wales international George Williams to the Stadium MK.
