ARSENAL could target Yannick Carrasco this month – but only if the Belgian lowers his wage demands.

That’s according to former Gunners defender Lauren.

Carrasco has been heavily linked with a move back to Europe having spent the last year at Chinese Super League club Dalian Yifang.

The winger established himself as one of Europe’s hottest prospects while at Monaco and Atletico Madrid and he’d likely have a long list of suitors if he were to become available.

Arsenal are desperate for fresh faces as they plot to stay in touch in the race to qualify for the Champions Leagu

But Unai Emery admitted earlier this month that funds are tight and any incomings would likely be on loan.

The Gunners are keen for reinforcements out wide, with Alex Iwobi and Henrikh Mkhitaryan failing to impress this season.

And while Carrasco is on astronomical wages in China, Lauren believes he could be a realistic signing for his former club if he’s willing to take a pay cut.

“Carrasco is a very good player that could offer a real presence going forward for Arsenal,” he told bwin.
