Takig a critical look at Arsenal makes you realise that the signing of Petr Cech has not completely solved Arsenal’s goalkeeping problem. Hence Wenger is on the look out for another shot-stopper.
According to Times Sports’Paul Hirst, Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart is free to leave when he returns from his loan at Torino for a cut-price transfer fee of just £15million.
It’s a bit similar to the situation we found ourselves in when buying Cech, but at 29 Hart still has his best years ahead of him, as well as taking a break from English football.
Hart has always been linked with a move to the Emirates and this will ultimately come down to whether or not Guardiola will allow him to join a title rival next season.
It would certainly be a kick in the teeth for Ospina who Wenger has always rated as a world-class keeper, but should Arsenal pass up the chance to sign a man that was once considered to be the future of goalkeeping?
