By each minute, we edge closer to the close of this year’s summer transfer market. Unfortunately for Arsenal, we have seen more first team players ousted than experienced players signed.
Another looming departure from the ranks of Arsenal is Wojciech Szczesny, who is set to seal a permanent deal that is worth £13million. Annoucement for the goalkeeper’s switch is expected to be made a few hours from now, this report is according to Skysport.
Following a series of dismal show-offs in-between the sticks for Arsenal, Szczesny fell down the selection perking order of Arsenal in the penultimate season. The signing of Petr Cech from Chelsea last season meant there was no place for him at the Emirates even as the second choice keeper.
However, the 26-year-old completed a season long-loan deal at the Stadio Olimpico and made 42-appearances with the Seria A giant.
The 26-year-old shot-stopper is scheduled to have a medical in Rome shortly ahead of the deal being completed.
Szczesny made his debut for Arsenal in 2009 and went on to make 180 appearances in all competitions.
.Following several rumours about transfers for David Ospina, the Columbian dismissed the possibility of leaving Arsenal this season and revealed that he is happy at Arsenal – this means there is no chance for Szczesny at Arsenal.
