Arsenal target Riyad Mahrez has dismissed the possibility of joining Arsenal even though he wants to remain in the Premier League.
We have long been linked with a move for the Premier League football of the year, but report stated last week that Leicester City rebuffed our offers for the star player.
He was a key player to Leicester City surprise conquest of the Premier League last season and he drew attraction from top European clubs other than Arsenal.
Although, reports linking him to Arsenal have cooled off, the player has admitted that he is open to a move away from the KingPower Stadium.
“[The Premier League] is a super league and I would like to stay here as long as possible,” he told France Football
“Now, there are two or three clubs in the world, that if they come for me, it definitely makes you think, if you understand what I am trying to say.”
I’m sure Arsenal don’t fall into the two or three clubs in the world that he has mentioned. Barcalona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Manchester United falls into the category of what he’s stated.
Arsenal have been frugal in the transfer market, struggling to meet the valuation of players.
