By each minute, we edge closer to the close of this year’s summer transfer market. Unfortunately for Arsenal, we have seen more first team players ousted than experienced players signed. But we are yet taking solace in the fact that Wenger said we is on the look out for an experienced attacker.
Another looming departure from the ranks of Arsenal is Wojciech Szczesny, who is set to seal a permanent deal that is worth £13million. Annoucement for the goalkeeper’s switch is expected to be made a few hours from now, this report is according to Skysport.
The report emerged according to SkySports correspondence Gianluca Di Marzio via his website that Arsenal and Roma now have an agreement in place that will see Szczesny spend another year on a loan deal with the Seria Club.
His medical is scheduled for later today and this will make him the fourth transfer that will be completed by Arsenal for a senior player. However, Di Marzio now reports that there will be no option for Roma to buy Szczesny permanently at the end of the season.
The 26-year-old goalkeeper spent the 2015-16 on loan in Italy at Roma, making 34 appearances under both Rudi Garcia and Luciano Spalletti as the club finished third.
