Done Deal: “I Accepted” World Cup Captain Joins Arsenal

Arsenal are one of the clubs in the world with the most talented set of academy players and the Emirate landlord have seen a number of their players ascend the grade of the club to becoming world class football stars.

The Gunners appear to be unrelenting in scouting for and nurturing talents to professionals – Marcelo Allende, 17, of Chile, has joined Arsenal but on a trial until September. This is according to report.

The former Chile U17 captain has been dubbed as the new Sanchez and he would sure fancy a joining his senior compatriot.

“I accepted without hesitation,” Allende said. “That you’re watching Arsenal, one of the best clubs in the world, it’s very cool.

“Being very realistic there differences are many in that Arsenal have everything, whatever, you care a lot.”

He also revealed that Alexis told him to hit the weights. “The other time I came, I could be with him [Alexis], [he] treated me really well.

“I was invited to watch a game because he was just injured. I saw him almost every day, we talked a lot, he was very happy. He wondered if I was happy. I told him [it’s] obvious that any child dreams of being at Arsenal.

“He told me ‘Do weights.’”

Should the player have a successful trial at Arsenal, he will join the likes of Kelechi Nwakali and we hope to see him in future like Alex Iwobi who is the latest Arsenal player to move up the cadre.
