Arsenal have completed their second transfer deadline day signing after the gunners complete the signing of Chelsea striker Dema Ba on a season long loan deal according to reports. News broke last night that are are discussing with Chelsea in regards to a deal for the signature of Demba on a year loan deal, however, this afternoon, it is now been reported that the deal is all but concluded and Ba will be playing for Arsenal next season.
Ba was close to signing for Arsenal from Newcastle United last January but Chelsea moved faster and signed the player. However, 8 months later, the player has found himself out of favour at Chelsea with him reportedly behind Torres, Eto and Lukaku in the pecking order. This has encouraged Wenger who himself has been frustrated so far in the transfer market to move for the striker.
If signed, Ba will be Giroud’s competitor and or alternative for Arsenal’s sole centre forward role. According to the reports, all that is left is for both clubs to agree a feel.
