There is currently a lot going on off the pitch in Arsenal per the transfers of players.
Arsenal right back Hector Bellerin has been head lining the media wave of Arsenal with various reports claiming that Barcelona are keen on signing the player in the January transfer window of 2017.
However, one player that is yet in shock about the report is Barcelona right back Aleix Vidal, who according to reports, is unhappy that the Catalan club do not have him in their future plans.
We reported earlier this week that Barcelona have heaped so much praise of Bellerin and Vidal will apparently not be happy about the reports.
“We’ve already seen him as a Cule! He’s a great player, there’s no doubt about that,” Barcelona vice president Jordi Mestre said.
“Arsene Wenger convinced him to move in 2011 and promised him something which we couldn’t.
“We could not promise him that within two years he would be playing in Dani Alves’ place.”
He added, “In many cases it’s good that they leave to develop as players and then return with experience,
“Look at the cases of Cesc Fabregas, Gerard Pique, Jordi Alba and Denis Suarez… I hope the same thing will happen with Sergi Samper, too.
“It’s positive that these players get minutes at other clubs. It is dynamic which has always provided good results for players that carry the Barca DNA in their blood.”
Although, he can’t really be that surprised, surely? The 27-year-old has only made one La Liga appearance so far this season and nine last term. He’s had some injury troubles, granted, but does he really think he’s the best player to step in for Dani Alves?
I’m not saying that Bellerin is though. Bellerin is terrible. One of the worst right-backs I’ve ever seen. Barcelona definitely shouldn’t be after him.
