Juventus have completed the signing of Arsenal transfer prime target Gonzalo Higuain in a record breaking deal on a long term contract.
The former Real Madrid striker has been in outstanding form for the Italians in recent seasons and the Serie A champions, Juventus have acted quickly to capture their man – he ended the last season as top scorer and shattered the goal scoring record of Seria A.
Before his move to Napoli in 2013, Higuain reported agreed personal terms with Arsenal but the deal never pull through to the dismay of the Arsenal fans.
Nonetheless, Arsenal were understood to still be interested in the player earlier this month. Wenger’s failure to secure a bid for the player means they have lost him to a more pragmatic Juventus.
As Juventus continue to build a squad of real class and quality, will Arsenal now dip their toes in the transfer window to snap up a new striker?
