As typical with Arsenal, the scouts of the club are always on their toes looking for youngsters that will secure the future of the club.
According to latest reports, Arsenal have joined Manchester United in the race to sign Ranger youngster Billy Gilmour – with the report claiming that Arsenal scout have been keeping tabs on the player.

“A 15-year-old ‘wonderkid’, Billy Gilmour is a midfielder who has been capped at u16 level for Scotland and currently plays for Rangers’ u17s.
Arsenal have been scouting him during Scotland’s Victory Shield campaign which is currently underway in Edinburgh and sees the home nations face each other.
Man of the match on Sunday as Scotland beat Northern Ireland 2-0, scouts were expected to watch him again when they drew with Wales on Tuesday afternoon in a game that saw Celtic’s 13-year-old Karamoko Dembele debut from the bench.
Gilmour is being hailed as the brightest talent from Scotland in the last two decades and Rangers are believed to want as much as £3m for the teenager. Is family, however, are said to be keen on remaining in Glasgow as the player develops, hoping to see him graduate to the first team and play in the SPL.
Gilmours contract runs until the end of the season but given his family’s wishes, they are confident of holding on to him amidst all the interest and hype. They are said to have a clear development plan in place for the boy which will layout a pathway to the first team within 18 months.
Although Rangers value him around £3m, he could move for as little as £100,000 cross-border compensation, with English clubs able to make a move when he turns 16 on 11 June.
Scotland face the Republic of Ireland on Friday when Gilmour is expected to feature again. The game will be streamed live on the Scottish FA site.”
