Arsenal have agreed a new three-year deal with Banque du Caire, as their official partner in Egypt.
Arsenal announced the deal, with Egyptian midfielder Mohamed Elneny at the forefront in promotional pictures.
It’s the Gunners’ second partnership in the country, as they also signed a deal with Hyde Park development in January to make it the club’s real estate partner in Egypt.
There are a number of perks for Banque du Caire customers as a result of the deal, including branded Arsenal credit and debit cards, the offer of match-day hospitality at the Emirates, and club memorabilia at all 250+ Banque du Caire branches.
The important thing for Arsenal fans who don’t live in Egypt is that the club are continuing to grow their brand. Both in terms of international exposure, and in financial terms, with another commercial deal adding to the incomings.
It’s especially good to see Arsenal doubling down on the opportunity to win supporters in Egypt.
Elneny obviously gives fans in the country a personal connection to the club, which they don’t often get, given the scarcity of Egyptian players in the Premier League. Hopefully this deal should be mutually beneficial for the bank and for Arsenal.
