The departure of Tomas Rosicky, Mikel Arteta and Mathieu Flamini has left Arsenal with more experienced departure than arrivals. According to latest reports, Arsenal have accepted a deal worth 800,000 pounds that will see Wojciech Szczesny spend another year on loan with Italian giants AS Roma.
Following the purchased of Peter Cech from Chelsea in the summer of last season, Szczesny was relegated further down the selection perking order after David Ospina – this saw him loaned to the Roma club in other to secure more playing time, which he did.
However, it is was believed that he would return to the Emirates in furtherance of his career but the continuous stay of Ospina means he will be a fringe player at Arsenal. It has been alluded that Wenger has lost faith in the keeper, hence, a clause has been inserted in the loan deal that might see Roma sign him permanently for a cut price of 12 million pounds.
The speculation over Ospina’s future has now been laid to rest as Arsene Wenger cannot afford to sell another experienced core player. GOODLUCK TO WOJCIECH SZCZESNY.
