These are hard times for Arsenal in terms of their transfer market dealings – Aubameyang was in the books for Arsenal, later it became Vardy then Morata and subsequently Icardi.
Sadly, it appears that the Gunners have been dealt another huge blow in their quest to land Argentina forward Mauro Icardi after the player reportedly agreed personal terms with Napoli subject to the agreement of a transfer fee.
If this report is anything to go by, the scouts of Arsenal would have to work harder else the Gunners title ambition would be in jeopardy. Arsenal are left with only Giroud as an out-and-out attacker to start the season.
If Wenger cannot get a striker, he should break the bank for a player like Riyad Mahrez. The PFA player of the season, would complement the weaknesses of Giroud and pose massive threat on the right wing as does Sanchez on the left.
Among the big teams in the EPL, Arsenal have enjoyed more stability in terms of management and team. It will be a big shame if they fail to conquer the league this season.
