Done ! Bellerin’s Back Up Confirms Why He Signed

With the January transfer window already in sight, Arsenal media wave is awash with the transfer of players.

During the summer, French newspaper L’Equipe reported that Djibril Sidibe was on the transfer radar of Arsenal but no deal was completed for the player who eventually joined Monaco from Lille in the same summer.

The 24-year-old could play as a right and left full back and was tipped to provide back up Spain international Hector Bellerin – Starting for France on Monday night against the Netherlands, Sidibe could have provided serious competition to Bellerin.

Speaking to the French media over the weekend, and covered by L’Equipe on Tuesday, the Monaco player said he was “really on the verge” of joining Arsenal last summer, but the approach came late, and he ended up sticking with the Monaco plan.

The France international went on to say: “I preferred to stay in Ligue 1 to get the most chances, and from next year in the Premier League, because it’s a league that I’m really attracted to.”

Jenkinson has returned to full training and 10months on the sideline due to injury. We can do without any full back this season at least.
