European champions Real Madrid are reportedly stepping up their interest in signing Arsenal and Manchester City transfer target Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as their next Galactico purchase.
The Borussia Dortmund forward has been one of Europe’s best attacking players for the last couple of seasons, and is known to be attracting interest from a number of elite clubs.
The Gunners failed with a bid to sign the Gabon forward last January, and could now be priced out of a move as Real Madrid continue to cast their eye over him.
The Gabon international has an impressive record of 98 goals in 160 appearances for the German side, and that kind of goalscoring prowess could opt him the ideal heir to Cristiano Ronaldo at the Bernabeu.
According to Spanish outlet AS, claimed the La Liga current league leader are hopeful of winning the race for the 27-year-old’s signature due to his lifelong dream of playing in Spain.
Real haven’t splashed out on a true Galactico signing since James Rodriguez joined in the summer of 2014 and Aubameyang would be an exciting latest addition to that list of A-list players to make the move to Madrid.
